Common questions
How do I start? Tap “Period started today” (or “It started on another day”). Mareal estimates your next period from there. Everything else (symptoms, temperature, cervical fluid, ovulation tests) is optional.
How do I fix a wrong entry? Open the day from Today or Calendar. Tap a selected option again to clear it, or scroll down and tap “Clear this day”.
How do I move my data to a new iPhone? Turn on iCloud sync on both devices (Settings › Privacy & data), or use Export my data on the old iPhone and Import from a file on the new one. Mareal data is not included in iCloud Backup.
I forgot my export passphrase. The file can’t be opened without it, by anyone. Make a new export with a new passphrase.
Sync says “Sign in to iCloud”. Sign in to iCloud in the Settings app and check that Mareal is allowed to use iCloud (Settings › [your name] › iCloud), then turn sync on again.
Can I use Mareal for birth control? No. Mareal’s fertile window is an estimate and never marks a day as safe.
